Cardiopulmonary Exercise Function Assessment of Naval Pilots and the Influence of Body Mass Index
摘要
Abstract
Objective To study the features of the cardiopulmonary function of naval pilots and to analyze BMI influence on cardiopulmonary exercise function. Methods The cardiopulmonary exercise test was performed for 30 naval pilots ( group A) and 15 common healthy males ( group B) to compare the differences in cardiopulmonary function inde-xes by the test;and the 30 naval pilots were divided into subgroup A (BMI<22, n=5), subgroup B (22≤BMI<26, n=13) and subgroup C (BMI>26, n=12), and the differences in cardiopulmonary function indexes in all the groups were analyzed. Results The overall athletic cardiopulmonary function of group A was better than that in group B ( P<0. 05);and among the three subgroups, cardiopulmonary function indexes in subgroup B were the best one (P<0. 05,P<0. 01), and the indexes in subgroup A was superior compared with those in subgroup C (P<0. 05). Conclusion The BMI change may affect the athletic cardiopulmonary function of naval pilots, and under or over weight of the pilots may weaken the cardiopulmonary function, so appropriate weight control can improve cardiopulmonary athletic ability of the pilots.关键词
