摘要

Abstract

Objective To study the polymerization heat induced by Cyanoacrylate in medical adhesives on nerve tissual lesions. Methods A total of 80 healthy SD male rats were randomly divided into group A, B, C and D ( n=20 for each group) , and lesion models were established by dropping Cyanoacrylate to freeing left sciatic nerves. Group A was given 20 μl Cyanoacrylate (1 drop);group B was given 80 μl Cyanoacrylate (4 drops);group C was given 20 μl Ethyl Cyanocrylate (1 drop);group D was given 20μl normal saline (1 drop) to left sciatic nerves. The differences of left sci-atic nerves were generally observed after 24 h in the four groups, and sciatic electrophysiology detection, hematoxylin and eosin ( HE) staining and warthin-starry staining were performed, and then the lesions were observed with histological method . Results There were statistically significant differences in sciatic general observation and histological observation between group C and group A, B and D, while the differences in sciatic electrophysiology indexes between group C and group A, B and D were statistically significant (P>0. 01). Conclusion The polymerization heat induced by different dosages of Cyanoacrylate may have mild nerve tissual lesions, so it can be used as adhesive and fixing agents to repair nervous tissues.
