Architecture Optimization of the Passive Electromagnetic Armor Plates Based on Electrical Explosion Mechanism

Abstract
Based on the electrical explosion mechanism of the shaped charge jet under the effect of pulse current,the architecture parameters were optimized.The effect of space and width of the armor plates on the equivalent inductance was analyzed.And combined with the action time model,the effect of the plate space and source distance on the action time was discussed.An optimization method of the armor plate parameters aimed at explosion ratio was suggested,and the relation of the parameters was opti-mized.The results indicate that,the armor plate inductance can be approximately considered as the function of the ratio of plate space and width.Inductance will decrease as the width increases and the space decreases,but when the width grows to a certain value,the change rate of the inductance becomes very small.The optimized relationship of the plate space and sources distance is obtained by calculating the biggest maximum of the explosion ratio and specific action respectively.关键词
