左乙拉西坦治疗儿童癫痫的临床疗效及神经保护作用
Effects of Levetiracetam on Epilepsy in Children and the Neuroprotective Effect

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the safety and clinical therapeutic effect of levetiracetam in treat-ment of epilepsy in children and the neuroprotective effect on the children .Method:60 eligible patients were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group , 30 patients in each group;the con-trol group was given with sodium valproate tablets , while the observation group was given with levetiracetam tablets, and the clinical therapeutic effects and serum neuron specific enolase (NSE) levels were compared between the two groups .Result:6 months after the therapies , the total effective rate and the epileptiform dis-charge disappearance rate in the children of the observation group were 96.67%and 50.00%respectively, while those of the control group were 70.00%and 20.00%respectively; both of the observation group were higher than those of the control group , and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The differ-ence in serum NSE level between the children of the two groups before the therapies was statistically insignifi -cant ( P>0.05);8 weeks after the therapies , the serum NSE levels of both groups were decreased when com-pared with those before the therapies (P<0.05), but the decrease extent of the observation group was higher than that of the control group , and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The incidence of ad-verse reaction in children of the observation group was 23.33%, It was similar with that of the control group (30.00%), and the difference was statistically insignificant (P>0.05).Conclusion: Levetiracetam has sig-nificant clinical therapeutic effects on epilepsy in children , can effectively inhibit epileptic discharge , has neuroprotective effect , is highly safe , Consequently it is an ideal drug for epilepsy in children .关键词
