河南省居民超重和肥胖流行特征
Epidemiological characteristics of overweight and obesity among residents of Henan province

Abstract
Aim:To study the epidemiological characteristics of overweight and obesity in Henan province so as to pro -vide evidence for the intervention in overweight and obesity scientifically .Methods:Through multistage sampling method , urban and rural residents aged 15-74 years were selected in 60 street offices/villages and towns in the whole province .Per-sonal information was obtained by questionnaires ,and personal height and weight were measured by physical examination . Results:The prevalence of overweight and obesity in the population was 31.10% and 13.99%.The prevalence of over-weight was 31.37%for male and 30.89%for female(χ2 =0.516,P=0.473).The prevalence of obesity was 14.17% for male and 13.66%for female(χ2 =1.331,P=0.144).The prevalence of overweight in urban area was higher than that in rural area(32.04%,30.47%;χ2 =5.169,P=0.023)and the prevalence of obesity (15.54%,12.95%;χ2 =25.208,P<0.001).The prevalence of overweight and obesity appreciably increased then gradually decreased along with the age (P<0.001),but appreciably decreased then increased along with the degree of education (P<0.001).Conclusion:The preva-lence of overweight and obesity is high in Henan province ,so intervention should be actively carried out for the prevention and control of overweight and obesity .关键词
