Abstract
The Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile ( AMRAAM) developed by the United States is a fielded radar-guided air-to-air missile with multiple advanced capabilities and most production deliveries in the world today .This paper describes the AMRAAM ’ s operational requirements , design con-figuration, development process , test and evaluation , and upgrades and variants; introduces its produc-tion and deployment as well as performance in the actual combats;sorts out problems encountered in the process of its development , production and use;summarizes experiences and lessons in its program man-agement;presents what we can learn from AMRAAM ’ s serial development and continuous improvement .关键词
