Abstract
The Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) developed by the United States is a fielded radar-guided air-to-air missile with multiple advanced capabilities and most production deliveries in the world today.This paper describes the AMRAAM’s operational requirements, design con-figuration, development process, test and evaluation, and upgrades and variants; introduces its produc-tion and deployment as well as performance in the actual combats; sorts out problems encountered in the process of its development, production and use; summarizes experiences and lessons in its program man-agement;presents what we can learn from AMRAAM ’s serial development and continuous improvement.关键词
