Abstract
Helicopter can accelerate to a certain forward velocity and conduct a takeoff utilizing the ground effect, when the power available is insufifcient to maintain the hover out of ground effect. The effect of ground effect and forward velocity on excess power and the principles of taking off with ground effect based on excess power were investigated. Three different methods of taking off with ground effect were introduced and takeoff performance lfight test was conducted using level accelerate—constant velocity climb trajectory, the change curve of level distance over the obstacle with climb velocity was shown to analyze the lfight test results and beneifcial conclusion was obtained.关键词
