Numerical simulation and experimental study of stability of marine sandwich structures in mast
摘要
Abstract
The ultimate capacity and failure mode of the sandwich structures under axial load in marine environment was explored ,and the Tsai-Wu criterion was adopted to identify the material failure of laminate structures .Both the materials nonlinearity and geometric nonlinearity were considered in the mechanical model .The study results show that the failure modes of sandwich structures under axial load are overall instability and local delaminating instability ;w hether considering material failure have little effect on results ,thus the numerical simulation may ignore the material failure in engineering ;the proposed numerical method provides theoritical support and engineering criteria to the application in marine structures .关键词
