摘要

Abstract

Marine cable fault diagnosing is considered to be important for communication engineering experiment and maintenance .Currently avometer and ohmmeter is widely used in fault diagnosis relying on rich experience ,some bought fre-quency analyser which are rather expensive .Despite this ,these methods can not detect the intermittent faults and seriate faults because the echo signals are too weak to be detected .Therefore ,the model of cable fault is studied in this paper as well as transfer function and reflective function are derived ,then according to the pulse transmission attribute of the cable the ref-erence signal can be improved and time-frequency cross correlation function is used to locate the weak echo signals .
