Responses of Long-span Highway and Railway Cable-stayed Bridge Induced by Train Braking Forces

Abstract
Based on a highway and railway cable-stayed bridge under design, dynamic responses of the struc-ture were analyzed under train braking forces by the nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis method. Viscous dampers were installed between the tower and girders for this bridge. Results were compared for models with viscous dampers and without viscous dampers. It is indicated that the displacements on the beam end and rela-tive displacements between tower and beam were reduced effectively by installing dampers between tower and beam.关键词
