Abstract
Based on the Fanli Bridge, the beam finite element model of the whole bridge and shell finite ele-ment of the pylon were constructed to analyze mechanical properties of the beam-column joint. The results show that the inner plates of pylon carry about 60% ~ 65% vertical pressures. Beams at the joint carry trans-versal bending and torsion. Stress distribution of plates in the beam-column joint is non-uniform. The inner plate stress is higher but the region of high level of stress is limited with fast stress dispersion. The structure is conservatively designed. Structural stress of the beam-column joint based on the finite element analysis by u-sing shell elements show higher accuracy than that by using the beam elements.关键词
