Simulation of Seismic Behavior for RC Shear Wall Based on Extended Finite Element Method

Abstract
This article simulated a RC shear wall under pseudo-static test by ABAQUS model based on ex-tended finite element method.The process of crack and failure,hysteretic curves,skeleton curves and hyster-etic loops of the simulation were compared with those of the test.At the same time,mechanical response of crack elements was discussed.Results show that the model could simulate not only the crack period and failure but also seismic behavior such as stiffness degradation,bearing capacity and displacement ductility,which proves feasibility of the model method.Based on this method,further investigation was made to find out how axial compression ratio and shear span ratio affect work behavior of shear walls.Results show that bearing ca-pacity of shear wall increase and the ultimate displacement decline as the axial compression ratio increase or the shear span ratio decrease,which are consistent with experimental results.关键词
