Fabrication of Ti2 SnC ceramic bonded diamond composites by self-propagation high temperature sintering
摘要
Abstract
Ti2 SnC ceramic boned diamond composites were fabricated by self-propagation high temperature sintering (SHS) from Ti/Sn/graphite/diamond powders.Effect of diamond size and mass fraction on phase composition of sample and diamond microstructure were studied.The results showed that Ti2 SnC and TiC were synthesized by SHS technology from 2Ti/Sn/C powders.Additionally,a certain amounts of Sn still remained in the products.Adding 10% diamond with different size might decrease Ti2 SnC content in the products.Additonally,TiC-Sn complex coating was formed on diamond surface.With increasing diamond (120/140) mass fraction,the synthesis of Ti2 SnC was inhibited. Meanwhile,diamond gradually had a worse bonding with the matrix.When diamond mass fraction was 40%,it is difficult to obtain good coating on diamond surface.关键词
