摘要

Abstract

Grinding experiments of titanium alloy were conducted with two kinds of microcrystalline alumina grinding wheels,namely normal kind and large-pore kind,to investigate the influence of grinding parameters and pore size on the grinding surface integrity.Results showed that high grinding speed(27 m/s) and moderate cutting depth (10 μm) performed better.Compared with normal kind, large-pore kind microcrystalline alumina would lead to better grinding quality,little microstructure change and smaller surface residual stress.It was inferred that large chip space and excellent cooling capacity of large pores could reduce the grinding force and temperature,which might be the dominant reason of better surface integrity.
