Abstract
Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of surgical treatment for rectal gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST). Methods The clinical data of 44 patients with rectal GIST admitted and treated in our hospital from January 2006 to January 2011 were retrospective analyzed.The therapeutic effect and prognosis were observed. Results Opera-tion time,hospitalization time in the radical operation group were longer than that of the palliative operation group, amount of bleeding in the radical operation group was more than that in the palliative operation group,cost of hospital-ization,incidence rate of complication in the radical operation group was higher than that of the palliative operation group (P<0.05);there was no statistical difference of the recurrence rate,survival rate of the two groups (P>0.05). Con-clusion Radical operation and palliative operation have similar surgical prognosis,but palliative operation has better safety thus it is a better choice to ensure prognosis and life quality of patients.关键词
