Abstract
Objective To compare the effect of total gastrectomy and proximal gastrectomy in the treatment of upper gastric cancer. Methods 68 patients with upper gastric cancer admitted to our hospital from February 2011 to February 2013 were selected as the study subjects and divided into the total gastrectomy group and the proximal gastrectomy group according to the surgical method,and there were 34 patients in each group.The surgical conditions,postoperative complications and long-term survival rate of the two groups were compared. Results There was no statistical difference of operation time,amount of intraoperative bleeding,exaust time,hospital stay in the two groups (P>0.05).In the total gas-trectomy group,the incidence rate of postoperative complication was 20.59% and the postoperative 1-year survival rate was 91.18% while in the proximal gastrectomy group,the incidence rate of postoperative complication was 29.41% and the postoperative 1-year survival rate was 94.12%,and there was no statistical difference between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Total gastrectomy and proximal gastrectomy show good effect in the treatment of upper gastric can-cer,without significant differences.The appropriate surgical method should be chosen according to the specific circum-stances of patients.关键词
