Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of different reduction mrethods in the treatment of fracture of mandibular condyle. Methods 87 patients (107 sides) with fracture of mandibular condyle who received surgical treat-ment in our hospital from February 2010 to March 2013 were selected.They were allocated to the free reduction group and the anatomical reduction of condyle group according to different surgical reductions.The free reduction group re-ceived the surgery of free reduction,and the anatomical reduction of condyle group received the surgery of anatomical reduction of condyle-ateral pterygoid.The effects of treatment were assessed after 1 year operation,and complications and follow-ups of the two groups were recorded. Results The significant effective rate in the anatomical reduction of condyle group (67.2%) was significantly higher than that of the free reduction group (32.5%),and the difference was sta-tistically significant (P<0.05).The proportions of normal shape of month opening,normal degree of mouth opening and nor-mal chewing in the anatomical reduction of condyle group was significantly higher than those in the free reduction group,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Anatomical reduction of condyle helps signifi-cantly improve clinical efficacy patients,promote postoperative structure and recovery of motor functions of oral cavity.关键词
