Abstract
Objective To explore the feasibility and safety of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy assisted tegafur gimeracil oteracil potassium in the treatment of middle and advanced esophageal cancer in elderly patients. Methods A total of 93 patients were selected,among them,45 patients of the observation group received three-dimensional confor-mal radiotherapy assisted tegafur gimeracil oteracil potassium treatment and 48 patients of the control group received only three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy.The radiotherapy dose was 95% PTV 60-63 Gy/32-35 times;Medication time started from the patients’ first time of receiving radiotherapy and the patients took medicine once at breakfast and dinner respectively,and 1 treatment course lasted for 28 days and the medication lasted for 2 treatment courses. Results 93 patients completed the whole treatment process of the treatment period and the patients’ short-term treatment ef-fects were obvious,the effective rate of the observation group (93.3%) was higher than of the control group (78.6%) (P<0.05).The 1-year and 3-year survival rate of the observation group (71.1%,46.7%respectively) were higher than those in the control group (64.6%,39.6%respectively) (P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of middle and advanced esophageal can-cer in elderly patients,the three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy assisted tegafur gimeracil oteracil potassium shows good short-term efficacy and good effect on prolonging the patients’ survival time,which is suitable for the treatment of clinical middle and advanced esophagea cancer.关键词
