Abstract
Objective To explore clinical effect of azithromycin and chloramphenicol in the treatment of tsutsugamushi disease. Methods 46 cases with tsutsugamushi disease from June 2009 to October 2012 in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into observation group and control group,23 cases in each group.The observation group was treat-ed with azithromycin,and the control group was treated with chloramphenicol.The treatment effect and the adverse reac-tion of two groups were compared respectively. Results There was no statistical difference in normal temperature time, lymph node swelling cure time and eschar shedding time between two groups (P>0.05).The incidence rate of adverse re-action in the observation group was 8.7%,while the incidence rate of adverse reaction in the control group was 34.8%, with statistical difference(χ2=4.600,P=0.032). Conclusion As clinical commonly used antibiotics,azithromycin and chlo-ramphenicol have both good effect on tsutsugamushi disease.But azithromycin has less toxic and side effects on pa-tients,compared with chloramphenicol,and can replace chloramphenicol in the treatment of tsutsugamushi disease.关键词
