Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine on treating dia-betes mellitus with ophthalmoplegia. Methods Sixty patients with diabetes mellitus and ophthalmoplegia were evenly divided into treatment group and control group by drawing lots.The basic treatment,Vitamin B1,and cobamamide for in-jection were given to the control group,while acupuncture and moxibustion therapy was added to the treatment group on the basis of the control group.The course of treatment lasted 30 days.The clinical efficacy and symptoms score before and after treatment were observed. Results After treatment,the total effective rate in the treatment group and control group was 96.7%and 80.0%respectively,and the effect in the treatment group was better than that in the control group (P<0.05).The symptoms score in the two groups after treatment indicated remarkable descending tendencies,and were both lower in comparison with pretreatment (P<0.05),and the treatment group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Diabetes mellitus with ophthalmoplegia is a multi-factor eye disease.Integration of traditional Chinese and western medicine can effectively improve clinical symptoms and thereby improve prognosis.关键词
