Abstract
Objective To study the expression of β-catenin (β-cat),P53 and E-cadherin (E-cad) in esophageal squa-mous cell carcinoma issue the relationship between above-mentioned indicators and clinical pathology. Methods From May 2005 to August 2008,Immunohistochemisty of Envision two step method was applied to detect the expression of β-cat,P53 and E-cad in 226 cases with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma,and relationship between the expression of the three and different clinical pathological characteristics was analyzed.The relationship between multiple factors and prognosis of patients was analyzed using COX proportional hazard regression model for data having follow-up data. Results The positive rate of β-cat,P53 and E-cad in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma issue was 34.51%,70.35%and 67.26% respectively.The expression of β-cat,P53 and E-cad in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma was not cor-related with sex,age,tumor size and differentiation degree (P>0.05),and was associated with tumor invasion depth,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05).The expression of E-cad in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma was nega-tively correlated with the expression of P53 andβ-cat (r=-0.685,-0.637,P<0.05),the expression of E-cad was positively correlated with the survival rate of patients (P<0.05),the expression of β-cat,P53 was negatively correlated with the sur-vival rate of patients (P<0.05). Conclusion E-cad can inhibit the invasion and metastasis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma,and associated with the expression of P53 and β-cat.This tips they play a role commonly in occurrence and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.Detection of E-cad,P53 andβ-cat can provide important reference for evaluating the prognosis of gastric cancer and guiding targeted therapy.关键词
