Correlation between Plasma Homoeysteine Levels and Alzheimer's Disease
摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between plasma homocysteine levels and Alzheimer 's disease ( AD) .Methods Plasma homocysteine levels of 100 cases of AD and 30 cases of healthy aged people were detected .Mini Mental State Examination ( MMSE) was used to assess dementia status .Correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between the MMSE score and the plasma homocysteine levels of 30 AD patients ,the same as the control group .Results Plasma Hcy levels in patients with AD were high-er than that of normal control group ,the difference was statistically significant (t=6.74,P<0.01);There was a negative correlation be-tween MMSE score and plasma Hcy levels in patients with AD (r=-0.79,P<0.01).Conclusion Hyperhomocysteinemia may be a risk factor for AD,this study provides the basis for early intervention of AD .关键词
