The Influence of College Students'Perfectionism on Loneliness:The Mediating Effect of Self-esteem

Abstract
Objective To examine the influence of loneliness on college students 'perfectionism .Methods Loneliness question-naire,RSES and CFMPS were conducted in 300 undergraduate students in Yulin Normal University .Results ①The average score of college students'perfectionism was 80.741,which was at the medium level .②There were significantly differences in gender (t=2.086, P<0.05)and family structure(t=2.048,P<0.05)at personal standard dimension of perfectionism;③The dimensions of concerning on mistakes(Beta=5.686,P<0.001)and doubt about actions(Beta=0.127,P<0.05)of perfectionism significantly predicted loneliness . Self-esteem partly mediated the relationship between perfectionism and loneliness ,and mediated the relationship between doubt about action and loneliness .Conclusion College students'perfectionism can predict loneliness ,self-esteem can partly mediate the link be-tween perfectionism and loneliness .关键词
