Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between alexithymia and self -esteem in patients with schizophrenia .Methods:We collected 182 and 238 healthy volunteers ,who were analyzed by the To-ronto Alexithymia Scale(TAS)and the Rosenberg Self -esteem Scale SES -10(SES),respectively.The Positive and Negative Symptom Scale ( PANSS) were further performed for patients with schizophrenia .The correlation analyses was used to test the relationship among alexithymia , self-esteem level and clinical symptoms.Results:Compared to healthy volunteers,patients with schizophrenia had significantly higher TAS score(t=3.49,P<0.05)and lower SES score(t=-4.19,P<0.05).The SES score was signifi-cantly negatively correlated with TAS (r=-0.15,P<0.05)and PANSS score(r=-0.15,P<0.05),re-spectively .The TAS score were significantly positively correlated with PANSS score .Conclusion:Alexi-thymia is common phenomenon and correlated with self -esteem in patients with schizophrenia .关键词
