Abstract
Objective:To understand the loneliness condition of medicine college students and to explore the im-pact of self-esteem and life events on sense of loneliness .Methods:500 medicine college students were investiga-ted by using the State Versus Trait Loneliness Scales and the Self -Esteem Scale(SES)and the Adolescent Self -Rating Life Events Check list(ASLEC).Results:There were many medicine college students express that they often feel loneliness(state loneliness:50.8%,trait loneliness:51.4%).As for the trait loneliness of medicine college students,there were significant differences in poor students or not ,home place(t=2.683,3.248;P<0.01).Self-esteem and life events is significantly correlated with medicine college students'loneliness scores ( the correlation co-efficient of state loneliness and self -esteem:r=-0 .407 , P<0 .001;the correlation coefficient of state loneliness and life events:r=0 .315 ,P<0 .001;the correlation coefficient of trait loneliness and self -esteem:r=-0 .362 ,P<0 .001;the correlation coefficient of trait loneliness and life events:r=0 .340 ,P<0 .001 ) and can be used as effec-tive index to predict loneliness(P<0.001).Conclusion:The situation of medical students plagued by loneliness is more common and the medicine college students who score low in self -esteem scales or score high in life events obtain high scores in loneliness scales .The psychologists of medical colleges should strengthen interventions for loneliness of college students .关键词
