Abstract
Objective:To explore the influence of self -esteem,fear of negative evaluation and social support on the mechanism of social anxiety among college students .Methods:290 college students re-sponded to the questionnaires of Perceived Social Support Scale ( PSSS) ,the Brief Fear of Negative Evalu-ation Scale(BFNES),Self-Esteem Scale(SES)and Social Interaction Anxiety Scale (SIAS).Results:①Social anxiety was negatively correlated with both self -esteem and perceived social support ( r=-0.27,-0.12;P<0.05), and positively associated with fear of negative evaluation ( r=0.48,P<0.001).②The mechanism of social anxiety among college students was conformed to the moderated mediation mod -el,namely,fear of negative evaluation had a partial mediator effect on the relation between self -esteem and social anxiety, which was moderated by perceived social support (γ=-0.20,P<0.001).Conclu-sion:①college students with lower levels of self -esteem and higher levels of fear of negative evaluation are more vulnerable to social anxiety ,and this mediator effect is moderated by social support .②The pro-motion of self-esteem and the reduction of fear of negative evaluation are main approaches to alleviate the social anxiety of college students .Besides , the increased social support not only serves as a buffer though the reduction of fear of negative evaluation but also has a direct effect on the remission of social anxiety.关键词
