摘要
Abstract
Objective:To explore depression and anxiety of male migrant workers and preliminarily an-alyze the related factors .Methods:60 male migrant workers in Tianjin were compared with local workers through Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS);Additionally,ques-tionnaires were made to obtain demographic data and investigate their other conditions .Results:There was no significant difference between SDS scores of migrant workers and local workers ;the SAS scores of mi-grant workers were higher than local workers',and such difference was significant (t=2.032,P<0.05). Positive symptoms were determined by thresholds of SDS and SAS , which were 53 and 50 respectively . The positive rate of depression for migrant workers ( 6 .7%) was lower than that for local workers (13.3%),whereas the difference was not significant;the positive percentage of anxiety for migrant work-ers(38.3%)was considerably larger than local workers'(5.0%),and the difference displayed great sta-tistical significance (χ2 =19 .640 , P <0 .001 ) .Significant relation between depression and age ( r =0.250,P<0.05) in migrant workers was discovered ,but no correlations were revealed between anxiety and age or among depression ,anxiety, and years of education .58% of studied migrant workers regarded finding jobs or good jobs as their greatest difficulty;the major hope of 75%of them was to raise income . Conclusion:Anxiety of male migrant workers is higher than that of local workers whereas depression con -ditions of both groups are similar .Nevertheless, depressive emotions of migrant workers incline to intensify while such tendency is not discovered in local workers .Stress, such as that from job hunting ,is one of the relevant factors triggering anxiety .关键词
