Abstract
Objective:To study the application of Beijing version Montreal cognitive assessment scale ( MoCA) in diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment in elderly patients.Methods:Fifty-eight patients with MCI and fifty-one healthy subjects were examined with neuropsychological tests using MoCA and Mini-mental state examination( MMSE) .Results:The total scores of MoCA and MMSE in the MCI group were significantly lower than the scores in the control group(t=-10.544,-16.188;P<0.01).The sub-item scores on the MoCA scale were significantly lower in MCI group than in control group ( t =-7.625,-4.614,-5.306,-7.505,-5.991,-7.405,-3.020;P<0.01).The sensitivity and specificity of MoCA and MMSE scales were 96.55%and 76.47%,55.17%and 96.07%,respectively,for the detection of MCI. Conclusion:The sensitivity of MoCA is higher than that of MMSE in assessment of MCI .It can be used to assess cognitive function in patients with MCI comprehensively.关键词
