摘要
Abstract
Obj ective :To analyze bilateral asymmetry of Bronze-Iron Age population from Tuchengzi site at Helinge’er county in Inner Mongolia.Methods :Using 3D laser scanning,we nondestructively and conveniently got the outer contour of femoral 3D data.With the software of three-dimensional image processing and method of geometric morphometrics,we examined the femoral cross-sectional size and shape variation of population from Tuchengzi site at Helinge’er county in Inner Mongolia. Results :Significant differences on paired femoral cross-sectional shapes showed variable asymmetry.Bilateral asymmetry in femoral size and shape existed.Conclusion:The size of paired femora shows fluctuating asymmetry,rather than directional asymmetry.Paired femoral cross-sectional shapes of Tuchengzi population have directional asymmetry,showing left-lateral dominance.These may be related to living situation and activities of the population.关键词
