摘要

Abstract

Surface-molecular-imprinted and polymer-modified TiO2 nanotube (S MIP TiO2 NTs)photocatalysts were fabricated, characterized,and tested for the removal of estrogenic pollutants from wastewater in this study for the first time. The results of scanning electron microscopy and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy show that average diameters of TiO2 NTs is 60 nm. The adsorption selectivity and photocatalytic activity of S MIP TiO2 NTs on template compound,which is compared with TiO2 NTs,are improved. Interestingly,S MIP TiO2 NTs exhibits higher adsorption intensity and photocatalytic selectivity at low concentrations (10~100μg/L)of E2 than at high concentrations (10 ~100 mg/L ). It is also found that some representative estrogenic chemicals could be selectively and rapidly removed from secondary effluents of municipal wastewater treatment plants using S MIP TiO2 NTs as photocatalysts. S MIP TiO2 NTs photocatalysts exhibit excellent regeneration characteristics.
