一种基于重复数据删除的网络文件备份系统设计与实现
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A DATA DEDUPLICATION-BASED NETWORK FILE BACKUP SYSTEM
摘要
Abstract
To address the problems of the network backup system in WAN that its backup speed is low,the requirement of network bandwidth is high,and has redundant data,etc.,in the paper we propose and implement a network file backup system with data deduplication function.It chunks the files and removes duplication data block in backup process by implementing data deduplication technology at client side,thus decreases the amount of data to be transferred at client side and during the service period,speeds up the files backup quite a bit, as well as reduces the network bandwidth requirement a great deal,so that the performance of network backup system improves significantly. Furthermore,the removal of the duplicated data block at client side in backup process makes the data blocks stored in the server are all the unique ones,this greatly cuts down the required storage space of the system.Meanwhile,the design of data blocks’citation management at client side well solves the problem of idle data block that it consumes the storage space.关键词
