A MULTIMEDIA SOFTWARE PLATFORM FOR SMART TV HIGH-QUALITY INTERNET MULTIMEDIA APPLICATIONS

Abstract
Aiming at various high-quality internet multimedia applications,rare computing resources,long update cycle and diverse hardware platforms of smart TVs,this paper proposes a multimedia software platform (STVMP)for smart TV high-quality internet multimedia applications.STVMP can be integrated with embedded Linux kernel to generate an operating system for smart TVs,and makes use of hardware ASIC platform to support the diverse internet multimedia applications while ensures the quality of services.Experiments prove that the STVMP supports current mainstream applications such as IPTV,VOD and datacasting,and has strong cross-platform ability with less computing resource usage.关键词
