Dynamic global Vreman model for large eddy simulation of transient turbulent flow in complex geometry

Abstract
In the method for turbulent numerical simulation ,the large eddy simulation (LES) method can provide abundant information for a large vortex ,so it has gradually become an important method in the turbulent numerical simulation of the complex geometry and will continue to develop .To construct sub-grid stress model as accurately as possible to reflect the physical nature of the flow field characteristics is the most important issue for LES .Based on such a thought ,the subgrid-scale (SGS ) eddy-viscosity model developed by Vreman is tested in an Re=28 ,000 backward-facing step turbulent flow by compari-son to the experimental data .The new LES framework yields excellent agreement for the mean velocity and matches experimental data better than the traditional Smagorinsky-based SGS model .This appears to be the first test of this class of model to flows without any homogeneous flow directions and high Reyn-old complex turbulent flow .关键词
