摘要

Abstract

The close quarter intersection is a special kind of intersection in city road, if not handled prop-erly which will adversely affect the traffic capacity and traffic safety. In order to maximize the usage of ex-isting condition and to achieve reasonable control of close quarter intersection, comprehensive regulation will be needed according to the geographical location, traffic environment and composition of intersection. Combined with the actual situation, the close quarter intersections among Tianjin West Lake Road, Hon-gqi Road and Ya′an road is studied to put forward several optimized schemes, by using the microscopic traffic simulation software VISSIM to conduct simulation analysis for finding out the optimal scheme, and the implementation condition is discussed. The article is of some practical meaning.
