Abstract
The appearance quality (100-seed weight, transverse diameter, and vertical diameter) and main active ingredients ( polysaccharide, total sugar, betaine, carotenoids, and extractum) of dry fruits of three Chinese wolfberry varieties ( Lycium ru-thenicum Murr., Lycium barbarum var.auranticarpum, and Lycium barbarum L.) were compared.The results indicated that the 100-seed weight and fruit-shape indexes of Lycium ruthenicum and Lycium barbarum var.auranticarpum were similar, but they were greatly different from those of Lycium barbarum.According to the standard contents of polysaccharide, betaine and carotenoids in Lycium barbarum, it was judged that Lycium ruthenicum and Lycium barbarum var.auranticarpum had no too large use value, and their use value should be excavated from their rich active ingredients.Carotenoid was a specific physiological activator of Lycium barbarum.关键词
