Abstract

In this paper, the proper weather conditions were the topic to be analyzed, under which the pasture in Zoige Prairie adapted well, by using the meteorological data of the District of Zoige from 1980 to 2010, and according to the weather conditions in which the pasture grew well in different growing stage. Then the prediction equations were proposed, which could predict the height and production of the pasture, by using the method of Grey­scale Characters Recognition. As a result, the following conclusions were proposed. First, the average temperature was 1.4℃in 31 years in Zoige;the average rainfall was 643.3 mm in these years;the average sunshine was 2 479.3 h every year. Second, the temperature in which blue grass turned into green was beyond 0℃;at the end of summer, the grass began wilting when it was below 10℃. Third, it was found that the Grey­scale Characters Recognition was a good method to predict the height of pasture, and the prediction equations obtained in this way could pass the significant test.
