Abstract
Objective To understand levels of calcium ,magnesium ,zinc ,iron and copper in children from 0 to 6 years old in Shapingba district of Chongqing for providing basis of the reasonable and scientific minerals supplement . Methods A total of 5 833 children from 0 to 6 years old in 5 towns of Shapingba district were selected randomlg from January 2013 to December 2013 ,atomic spectroscopy was used to detecte levels of calcium ,magnesium ,zinc ,i‐ron and copper .Excel software and SPSS17 .0 was used to analyze these datas in five groups including less than 1 year old ,1 year old ,2 year old ,3 year old ,≥4 year old group that divided by ages .Results The rates of lack calcium , magnesium ,zinc ,iron ,and copper were 16 .96% ,1 .92% ,47 .57% ,43 .56% ,11 .47% respectively .There were signifi‐cant differences on the rates of lack calcium ,zinc ,iron ,copper in the five groups (P<0 .01) .The rate of lack of calci‐um among the kids who were ≥4 year old was highest ,and the rate of lack of zinc and iron in this group was less than 1 year old .What′s more ,the rate of copper′s lack fluctuated .There were no significant gender difference on the lack of calcium ,magnesium ,zinc and iron (P>0 .05) ,but there was a significant gender difference on the lack of cop‐per (P<0 .05) ,the rate of copper deficiency of girls was higher than that of boys .Conclusion The deficiency of zinc and iron in Shapingba district was common ,followed by calcium and copper ,deficiency of magnesium was rarely seen . Moreover ,infants was advocated breastfeeding ,added food supplement in time ,and it′s better for children and pre‐schoolers to have a balance diet and test trace elements periodically .In terms of the laboratory ,it should regulate the operation of testers and increase the accuracy of results ,which could help to provide reliable evidence for clinic .关键词
