Abstract
Objective:To test the relationship between the expression of miR-17-5p of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and clinical significance, which could provide a basis for the treatment and prognosis of OSCC. Method:Expres-sion of miR-17-5p in 42 OSCC patients and 28 normal controls was measured using qRT-PCR , and the clinical parameters of patients were correlated with the expression by Mann-Whitney U test. Result:In the present study,we found that expres-sion of miR-17-5p was significantly increased in OSCC tissues and plasmas (p<0.05). The up-regulated expression of miR-17-5p had no significant correlation with gender,age and differentiation degree of OSCC (P >0.05), but significant correlation with TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P <0.05). High-expression of miR-17-5p in postoperative plasma were closely correlated withhigh recurrence rate and low survival rate (P<0.05). Conclusion:miR-17-5p could work as an important indicator of oral squamous cell invasion,metastasis and prognosis,and the exact mechanismsof which need to be confirmed by further studies.关键词
