Abstract
Objective:To investigate the expressions of Inhibitor of differentiation-1 (Id-1) and Ki67 in Tongue squamous cell carcinoma (TSCC) and their relation with the clinicopathologic characteristics. Method:Id-1 and Ki67 ex-pression were investigated by means of immunohistochemistry in samples from 65 cases of TSCC. Result:Id-1 positive ex-pression occurred in 43 out of the 65 tumor samples(66.2%),while Ki67 positive expression was observed in 36 out of the 65 tumor samples (55.4 %). The positive expressions of Id-1 and Ki67 were significantly associated with pathological grade,lymph node metastasis and TNM stage (P <0.05,Chi-square test),the expressions of both were not correlated with age and gender(P>0.05,Chi-square test),and a significant correlation was found between Id-1 and Ki67 expressions(P <0.05,Chi-square test). Conclusion:Id-1 and Ki67 are Closely related to the differentiation,proliferation and metastasis of TSCC,indicating that they play important roles in promoting the tumorigenesis and progression of TSCC. The Id-1 and Ki67 might be useful markers in the TSCC classification,clinical treatment and prediction of the prognosis.关键词
