摘要
Abstract
Objective:The aim of this paper is to discuss the relationship between serum progesterone and the re-modeling of alveolar bone. Method:72 adult female Wistar rats aged 3-4months and averaging (250±10)g in weight were selected as experiment animals and divided randomly into 3groups:Control group consisted of 8 rats;non-pregnant group and pregnant group consisted of 32 rats respectively. Orthodontic appliance delivered an initial force of 50 g ,is placed be-tween the maxillary first molar and maxillary central incisors of rats in the first day of pregnancy. Non-pregnant and preg-nant group's rats were killed in batches at 4 th,8 th,12 th,16 th day. Before rats were executed,their blood of 5 mL was sampled to measure the level of serum progesterone with radioimmunoassay and observe HE histological changes of the alveolar bone by light microscope. All statistics were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 software and received t test comparing among groups, then result represented in the form of x±s,P <0.05 means that there is significant difference. Result:The speed of tooth movement was faster in pregnant group than that in non-pregnant group. The serum progesterone level of non-preg-nant group is in lower level all the time. There were significant variations in the level of serum progesterone between non-pregnant group and pregnant group. In pregnant group,the level of serum progesterone increased gradually,which grew greatly at the 12th and the 16th day. In the histological examination ,the alveolar bone formation was more obvious in the pregnant group than in the non-pregnant group. Conclusion:The serum progesterone caninfluences the remodeling of alve-olar bone on orthodontic tooth movements rats and promote the formation of alveolar bone in pregnant.关键词
