Abstract
Abstracts:Objectives To explore the clinical manifestations and surgical treatment effects of temporal lobe arachnoid cyst with secondary epilepsy .Methods The initial symptom of all the patients was seizure .Among them 12 cases of arachnoid cyst were located in the left temporal lobe , and 13 cases in the right temporal lobe .Surgery were performed under the guidance of electrocorticography , and postoperative surgical effects was followed up for more than 1 year.Results After being resected the arachnoid cyst , the electrocorticography monitoring showed there was still abnormal discharge in the temporal lobe cortex . Among them, anterior temporal lobectomy (including most part of hippocampus and amygdala ) were added in 15 cases, and cortical thermal cauterization were added in 10 .The follow-up showed the arachnoid cyst disappeared in 18 and shrinked in 7.The follow-up of seizure revealed that Engel I was achieved in 13 cases, Engel Ⅱin 9 , Engel Ⅲ in 2 and Engel Ⅳ in 1 .The total surgical effect was 88%.Conclusions For the patients of temporal lobe arachnoid cyst with secondary epilepsy , the epileptic lesion should be resected under the guidance of electrocorticography during the time of resecting the arachnoid cyst , and the surgical effect is satisfactory .关键词
