Serum sexual hormone level and Eales disease
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between Eales disease and serum sexual hormone level . Methods Seventy-six cases of Eales disease were reviewed .Clinical presentations , fundus examination and fundus fluo-rescein angiography ( FFA) results were retrospectively analyzed .Another 76 healthy, age and gender matched subjects were selected as control .Sexual hormones , including luteinizing hormone ( LH) , follicle stimulating hormone ( FSH) and testosterone were measured in both groups using chemiluminescence methods .T-test was used to detect differences between the two groups .Results Sexual hormone levels were significantly higher in patients with Eales disease than in control sub -jects.Conclusion Sexual hormones can be associated with Eales disease .Chanes in serum LH , FSH or testosterone can be used as biomarkers for Eales disease .关键词
