Abstract
Objective To analysis the clinical effect of trabeculectomy combined with biological amniotic mem-brane transplantation on primary chronic angle closure glaucoma.Methods This study included 60 patients (72 eyes) treated in our hospital from 2009 July to 2013 July.Patients were randomly divided into observation group (35 patients, 42 eyes) and control group (25 patients, 30 eyes) .Observation group received trabeculectomy combined with biological amni-otic membrane transplantation, and control group received trabeculectomy alone.Results The successful rate was signifi-cantly higher in observation group (34 eyes, 80.95%) compared to that in control group (16 eyes, 53.33%, P =0. 012).Visual acuity improved in more patients in observation group (26 eyes, 61.90%) than in control group ( P =0. 035) .The need of anti-glaucoma medication was much less in observation group (1 eye, 2.38%) than in control group (6 eyes, 20.00%, P =0.018).Observation group also reported less complications (2 eyes vs.7 eyes, P =0.029) and bet-ter intraocular pressure (16.7 ±1.5 mm Hg vs.18.9 ±2.5 mm Hg, P =0.036) than control group.Conclusion Trabe-culectomy combined with biological amniotic membrane transplantation will improve the successful rate of treating primary chronic angle closure glaucoma.It results in better visual acuity and intraocular pressure outcomes with less complications.关键词
