Effect of Echinococcus granulosus antigen B on the expression of IL-2 and IL-4 in the gingival tissues of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type 1 diabetic mouse model

Abstract
Objective To study the effect of Echinococcus antigen B(EgB)on the expression of IL-2 and IL-4 in the gingival tissues of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type 1 diabetic mouse model.Methods A total of 20 ten-week-old female STZ-induced type 1 diabetic mouse were randomly divided into 2 groups,with 10 mouse in each group.The mouse in the treatment group was injected intraperitonealy with EgB (100μg/10g)for 5 consecutive days, and the mouse in he control group were injected with 0.9% sodium chloride with the same dose.The gingival tissues were collected,and the expression IL-2,IL-4 mRNA was determined by FQ-PCR.Result The level of IL-2 mRNA in the treatment group was significantly lower than thant in the control group(P<0.05);The level of IL-4 mRNA in the EgB treated group was significantly increased compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The expres-sion of IL -2 is decreased and the level of IL-4 is increased in the gingival tissues of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type 1 diabetic mouse model treated with EgB.关键词
