Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship of metabolic syndrome(MS)and its components with thyroid nodule and explore the influencing factors of thyroid nodule.Methods 306 hospitalized patients with metabolic syndrome and 310 physical examination cases were selected between February 201 1 and October 2013,whose results of history and thyroid ultrasound examination were collected.Results The rate of thyroid nodules was 66.3% in MS and in non-MS was 38.4%,the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05 ). Multifactor logistic analysis showed that Gender,BMI and FPG were independently correlated with thyroid nod-ule.Conclusion Overweight/obesity and elevated fasting plasma glucose may be independent risk factors of thyroid nodules.关键词
