Abstract
A concept of generalized polyphase filtering(GPF)which extends the polyphase filtering to the case that the order of the polyphase decomposing is not the same as the decimation rate is presented in the paper,then,the conventional polyphase filtering becomes a special case of the GPF.The GPF makes it feasi-ble to balance the speed and the area as the practical situation in designing a wideband digital receiver.The authors deduce the GPF within frequency domain in the paper and the detailed approaches of the GPF are presented.A wideband digital receiver based on the GPF is presented and the application of the GPF in the receiver is described.The receiver is simulated by using a testing signal and the resource usage of the GPF in a practical device is educed by the simulation.It is indicated that the GPF has some practical advantages in the developing of the wideband digital receiver.关键词
