摘要
Abstract
The irregular shaped planar array of VHF radar causes large height finding error due to the different number of antenna elements in different lines.We propose an improved maximum likelihood height finding method into which the steering vector coefficient is introduced.It can be extended to all planar array VHF radars.Firstly,the target echo signals from each line of the antenna are synthesized.Then the antenna steering vector amplitude normalization factor is constructed based on the different element number of each line,and the array steering vector is rebuilt.Finally,the maximum likelihood super resolution algorithm is used to measure the altitude.Simulations are made to verify the effectiveness of the method.关键词
