多菌型麻风患者联合化疗6个月后停药随访7年结果分析
Analysis on Results of Seven Year Following up among Multibacillary Patients Treated with Multidrug Therapy for Six Months

Abstract
To analyze the results of treatment among MB patients 7 years after trea-ted with six months’ multidrug therapy.Methods:Newly detected and relapsed MB leprosy pa-tients were treated with 6 months’ WHO multidrug therapy.Then the patients were followed up for 7 years.The effectiveness of treatment was analyzed by clinical status and bacteriological studies. Results:A total of 114 patients were recruited.43 patients were withdrawn from the study.Only 71 patients were qualified for analysis.The mean bacteriological index ( BI ) of all patients de-creased from 2.93 ±1.39 before treatment to 0 at the end of seventh year’ following up with annu-al BI decrease of 0.42 .The rate of smear negativity of all patients was 100%at the end of seven year’ following up.There were 38 leprosy reactions observed during the study with a rate of 53.5%and one patient relapsed with a relapse rate of 0.05 per 100 patient year.Conclusion:Multidrug therapy for 6 months was effective in MB patients, the frequencies for decreased BI and leprosy reactions were similar to those accepted the therapy for 1 or 2 years.关键词
