Performance Analysis and Experimental Study for CO2 Gas Cooler

Abstract
Types and heat transfer effects of CO2 gas cooler have greater impact on the performance of the CO2 transcritical cy-cle.Therefore,it is necessary to analyze its heat transfer performance.By being divided infinitesimal units for gas cooler,a compu-tational model was established for the heat transfer process.And the cooling heat transfer coefficient of CO2 side was calculated by using the indirect method for dividing and non-dividing infinitesimal.The obtained results were compared with the calculated val-ues from the several selected heat transfer correlations.The results showed that the values from the divided infinitesimal were al-most higher than those from the correlations.By comprehensive analysis,an appropriate heat transfer correlation was chosen to pro-vide the basis for system and the gas cooler simulation and optimization.Then a new CO2 heat pump test rig is built,and the per-formance of the new gas cooler was tested and compared.The results showed that the new CO2 gas cooler performance has been greatly improved over the original heat exchanger.The purpose of improving the heat exchanger and the system performance is a-chieved through optimization.关键词
